SAL: Trolling though Pottery Barn's latest collections today I found some novel ideas for helping keep your tech gear in order. I don't know about you, but all the cords and chargers and whatnot from my various IPods, cameras and cell phones drive me crazy. Check out the Smart Technology range, I especially liked the wall mount shelf, the pinboard and the desk hutch featured above.

SAL: Today is a sad day dear reader, for tomorrow is the day our dear friend Harry flies back to Oz to rejoin her family and friends and the life she once led there. A happy day for Harry, but a sad one for those of us in LA who will miss her enormously. Sigh. However, fear not. Harry and Sal will continue, only now with a renewed international flava. Are you feelin' it? So much like myself, our Harry loves her music, so in that vein I thought I'd recommend these IPod sleeves available at the SFMOMA online store so she can travel and groove in style.

SAL: As a Brit, living in the US, with many friends in Australia, knowing the time around the world is important to me. Bar visiting the inelegant, but functional World Clock site, I really don't have a very good solution. So imagine my delight at finding Charlotte Van Der Weels compact and clever desk clock, available from the folks over at Good. As the description reads The clock "has 12 sides, each with the name of two major cities. Altogether, the 24 cities represent the 24 global time zones. To find the local time in another time zone, roll the clock so the city representing that time zone is on top." A simple solution to a complex problem. Great design.

SAL: It's finally here, the release date is public, June 29 people, get ready. I know this is way over-hyped, but (pause to wipe drool from corners of mouth) you just know Apple will not disappoint. I am trying so hard to hold back and not to be one of the sad souls camped outside an AT&T store come June 29. I keep saying to myself, no wait, let the first buggy release go, wait for the next model - that you know is going to come with all manner of goodies they couldn't fit into this release in time. Perhaps I will wait, perhaps I will be weak and succumb, or, perhaps, I'll just enjoy the ads instead.
