HARRY: I’m thinking about rugs for the new living room - it’s 12 months off but a rug seems more do-able than thinking about the millions of other details involved in a renovation. The back of the house will have a concrete floor so it will need to be softened…with something. My obsession with Missoni continues (see the cotton/wool rugs above…I need to find somewhere closer than Chicago for these guys!). But then I also like the idea of a lovely old ruby red Persian. (We’ve been looking for this for months. They are just so very expensive). Or one of Akira Isogawa’s rugs for Designer Rugs. His kimono-inspired designs are amazing (see below). He’s just done a new range for 2008. OR anything from Tibet Gallery. Hmmmmm.
