HARRY: Sal is absolutely right. If you get the lighting wrong your place is doomed. The thing I hate is overlit rooms. Impossible to do if you’ve got a Noguchi. His lovely paper lamps are pieces of sculpture. Just make sure the kids are nowhere near with anything pointy! His lamps haver been part of the collection at MOMA since the 50s. They aren’t crazily expensive either. This one pictured above is $125.
